Looking for effective relief from muscle tightness, chronic pain, or mobility limitations? Myofascial Release Therapy (MRT) may be just what you’re in need of.

This hands-on therapy focuses on releasing tension in the fascia—connective tissue that surround and supports your entire body. When the fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can lead to pain and limit movement. By applying gentle, sustained pressure to specific areas, MRT helps reduce tension, improve circulation, and support natural healing in the body. Our approach blends traditional MRT techniques, followed by gentle movements to allow your body to adjust to, and adapt to the changes that have occurred.

Ready to explore how MRT can allow you to feel and move better? Book your consultation today to feel the difference.

FAQs

  • Your Initial Consultation is 90 minutes (1.5 hrs). During this time, information will be gathered, physical assessments will be conducted to guide your treatment plan, and treatment will be given to get you feeling and moving better.

Subsequent sessions will also be 90 minutes (1.5hrs) duration.

  • Myofascial Release Therapy differs from a regular massage in both technique and focus. While a regular massage generally targets muscles, MRT specifically targets the fascia, a web-like connective tissue that surrounds muscles and all other tissue. Tight or restricted fascia can lead to pain and limited mobility. MRT uses slow, sustained pressure applied directly to the fascia (and muscles), aiming to release restrictions in these connective tissues.

  • The number of sessions varies depending on the individual's needs and the severity of the condition. Some people notice improvement after just one session, but a series of treatments is often recommended to achieve longer-lasting results, especially for chronic or deep-seated issues.

  • During an MRT session, your therapist will apply sustained pressure to targeted areas of tension, which may include the use of hand or elbows. Sessions are generally slow-paced, and some clients may feel mild discomfort as tension releases, but it’s usually a relieving sensation.

Your session may be supplemented by some gentle, slow movement to allow your body to consolidate and adapt to the changes that it went through via the MFR treatment.

  • As appointments are limited, a 24-hour notice period is required so that your appointment time-slot can be given to someone else. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, you may be charged a cancellation fee.
